April kicks off another chapter in our campaign to win marriage nationwide: On the 10th and 17th, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit will hear oral arguments in Denver, Colorado on the first marriage cases to reach the appellate level, from Utah and Oklahoma, respectively.

Today, the United States Department of Justice announced that the federal government will respect the legal marriages of the 300+ same-sex couples in Michigan who were issued marriage licenses in the state on Saturday, March 22.

Tonight, Freedom to Marry founder and president Evan Wolfson will be honored by Keshet, an LGBT Jewish organization based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Freedom to Marry's National Campaign Director Marc Solomon will present the award to Evan tonight.

This week, San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer became the newest chair of Mayors for the Freedom to Marry, a coalition of nearly 400 mayors from across the country who support marriage for same-sex couples.

Today, March 21, 2014, U.S. District Court Judge Bernard Friedman, a Reagan appointee, ruled that laws in Michigan prohibiting same-sex couples from marrying are unconstitutional.
