Nevada Senate committee begins process of moving marriage forward

This morning, a Senate committee in Nevada voted to advance a legislative measure that would repeal the state's anti-marriage amendment and replace it with the freedom to marry. The vote is the first step in the process of winning the freedom to marry for all Nevadans.

Today, legislators in Delaware will introduce legislation to extend the freedom to marry to same-sex couples. At 2:30 p.m., a press conference to formally announce the introduction of the bill to end the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage will be held in Wilmington.

Tonight, the lower House in Uruguay voted in favor of legislation that will extend the freedom to marry to same-sex couples, marking the final vote in the process of ending the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage across he country.

Yesterday, the Senate in France approved the most significant portion of a bill that would extend the freedom to marry to same-sex couples, all but assuring that France will become the latest country to end the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage.
