At a speech in Baltimore yesterday, President Barack Obama spoke out against anti-gay activists who are working to overturn the freedom to marry in Maryland. He urged voters to uphold marriage for same-sex couples at the ballot this November.

Washington United for Marriage has been busy releasing a series of videos highlighting families who support the freedom to marry. Their latest video features Steve and Robin Boehler, who want all three of their daughters - including their lesbian daughter, Sarah - to be able to celebrate their love and commitment in marriage.

A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows that Florida voters, like much of the country, are quickly shifting their views on the freedom to marry toward majority approval. Gains among black voters in the state are particularly evident.

Last night, at the 66th Annual Tony Awards, Freedom to Marry board member Jordan Roth took home one of the top awards for producing Clybourne Park. Fellow marriage supporter Audra McDonald won her fifth Tony for her moving and passionate performance in The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

In the past week, the state Democratic Party organizations in Pennsylvania, Montana, Texas and Wisconsin have modified their official platforms to include a plank calling for the freedom to marry.

On Wednesday, Edith Windsor won her case against the so-called Defense of Marriage Act when Judge Barbara Jones ruled DOMA unconstitutional. In a heartfelt new video today, Windsor thanked everyone who has supported her in time working on the case.

This weekend, a group of Catholics in Baltimore, Maryland will hold a rally and discussion in support of the freedom to marry for all couples. The group will be discussing strategies for ensuring that the freedom to marry is upheld in Maryland when it goes to the ballot in November.
