Yesterday, after the launch of Freedom Indiana, Young Conservatives for the Freedom to Marry applauded the local efforts. Freedom Indiana is headed by conservative leaders - including Campaign Manager Megan Robertson.

The Peace Corps' policy change, which allows same-sex couples to serve together as volunteers, was personal for Shari Quan, who served in rural Uganda. She and her partner, Elisabeth Halliday, are planning their wedding, and the policy change has opened up the possibility of the women serving together without being separated.

One of the same-sex couples couples who married today in New Zealand was Lynley Bendall and Ally Wanikau, who said "I Do" on an airplane in a beautiful ceremony sponsored by Air New Zealand.

Today, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that the same-sex spouses of gay and lesbian service members will begin receiving full benefits and protections by September 3, 2013.
