With six weeks before Election Day, Minnesotans United for All Families, the coalition to block a discriminatory consitutional amendment that would permanently limit the freedom to marry in the state, is ramping up their fundraising efforts by hosting its final One Day United event.

This week, Washington United for Marriage, the broad coalition of organizations and advocates working to uphold the freedom to marry in Washington, announced that nearly 200 organizations and leaders representing communities of color in the state are voicing their fervent support for marriage for same-sex couples.

Minnesotans United launches first television ad

Yesterday, Minnesotans United for All Families released their first television advertisement asking Minnesotans to vote NO on a proposed constitutional amendment permanently limiting the freedom to marry. The spot includes a testimonial from John and Kim, who have been married for 13 years and who share their journey why they're voting NO.
Two Respect for Marriage Act cosponsors bring House total to 156

This week, two new members of the House of Representatives signed on as co-sponsors for the Respect for Marriage Act. Rep. Mel Watt from North Carolina and Rep. Leonard Boswell from Iowa have become the latest co-sponsors of the bill, raising the total number of co-sponsors in the House to 156.
