Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed joins Mayors for the Freedom to Marry coalition

Freedom to Marry signs onto letter in support of binational same-sex couples

Nearly 800 same-sex couples have applied for marriage licenses in Washington

Yesterday, December 6, was the first day that same-sex couples in Washington state could be issued marriage licenses. Throughout the day, nearly 800 same-sex couples passed through court houses in counties across the state to request their marriage license. The first weddings between same-sex couples in the state will be held on Sunday, December 9.
