In the past few weeks, Minnesotans United for All Families, the coalition working to oppose an anti-gay ballot initiative in the state, has racked up a wide range of endorsements. From the Minneapolis Public Schools Board of Education to General Mills to the Governor of Minnesota, the state's residents are speaking out to oppose writing discrimination into the state constitution.

Yesterday, the Secretary of State in Washington announced that Referendum 74 has officially qualified for the November 6 ballot in the state.

At a speech in Baltimore yesterday, President Barack Obama spoke out against anti-gay activists who are working to overturn the freedom to marry in Maryland. He urged voters to uphold marriage for same-sex couples at the ballot this November.

Washington United for Marriage has been busy releasing a series of videos highlighting families who support the freedom to marry. Their latest video features Steve and Robin Boehler, who want all three of their daughters - including their lesbian daughter, Sarah - to be able to celebrate their love and commitment in marriage.

A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows that Florida voters, like much of the country, are quickly shifting their views on the freedom to marry toward majority approval. Gains among black voters in the state are particularly evident.

Last night, at the 66th Annual Tony Awards, Freedom to Marry board member Jordan Roth took home one of the top awards for producing Clybourne Park. Fellow marriage supporter Audra McDonald won her fifth Tony for her moving and passionate performance in The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

As part of our "Freedom to Serve, Freedom to Marry" campaign, today we're releasing a video featuring Army Major Stephen Hill and his husband, Joshua Snyder. Earlier this year, Hill was booed during a Republican presidential debate for asking a question about "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

In the past week, the state Democratic Party organizations in Pennsylvania, Montana, Texas and Wisconsin have modified their official platforms to include a plank calling for the freedom to marry.

On Wednesday, Edith Windsor won her case against the so-called Defense of Marriage Act when Judge Barbara Jones ruled DOMA unconstitutional. In a heartfelt new video today, Windsor thanked everyone who has supported her in time working on the case.
