Yesterday, Freedom to Marry's Federal Director delivered a letter thanking the Democratic Party for adding a plank supporting the freedom to marry to their official national party platform. Nearly 35,000 Freedom to Marry supporters signed the letter.

In November, Washington residents will be asked to uphold the freedom to marry, for all loving and committed couples, a law that was signed by the governor in February. Colleen Ozolitis and her wife Lee Ann Martinso, who married in Canada six years ago but want to marry in their home state, are one of the couples who will be affected by the vote. A new release from The Legal Stranger Project takes a look at the life of Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) Charlie Morgan, who recently returned from a deployment in Kuwait and is now battling incurable stage-four breast cancer. Should she not survive, her wife Karen would be unable to access any of the survivor benefits that she would need to take care of their five-year-old daughter Casey Elena.

Today, the travel company Expedia published a video showcasing a father's journey to accepting his lesbian daughter as she prepares to marry her wife on their Wedding Day. The video is part of Expedia's new branding campaign called "Find Yours" - it asks viewers to "Find Your Understanding."

A new poll from NBC Latino/IBOPE Zogby indicates that a solid majority of Latinos in the United States support the freedom to marry for same-sex couples. 60 percent of Latinos surveyed in the poll said they "strongly agree" that same-sex couples should be able to marry.

Yesterday, Washington United for Marriage, the coalition working to uphold the freedom to marry in Washington, released two new television advertisements that will begin airing across the state. Both of the ads discuss the role of religion in Washington residents' support for the freedom to marry.

A new poll out of Rhode Island indicates that a majority of the state's residents favor the freedom to marry for same-sex couples. The poll, conducted by WPRI 12, a Rhode Island news station, shows that 56 percent of voters support ending the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage.
