Tomorrow, December 6, Corianton and Keith will join hundreds of other same-sex couples in applying for marriage licenses - and three days later, on December 9, they'll be among the first same-sex couples in the state to get married. This summer, they held a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony with their friends and family - here, they share their story with us through their wedding photos!

Last week, on Thursday, November 29, Maine Governor Paul LePage signed off on the certified election results for the state of Maine - including the result that, for the first in history, Mainers passed the freedom to marry for same-sex couples at the ballot. The new marriage law becomes effective 30 days after certification - on December 29.

After nearly ten years of commitment, Corrie Sharp and Jennifer Tom, who live in San Diego, CA, didn't want to wait to get married any longer so they flew to Massachusetts to marry. Now, they're one of many same-sex couples waiting for Prop 8 to be overturned so that they can see their marriage respected where they live.

Mignon Moore and Elaine Harley have been together for 10 years, after meeting in 2002. This summer, they married in New York and celebrated in Mexico - and now they're waiting for Proposition 8 and the Defense of Marriage Act to to be overturned so they can finally, universally, give the world a clear picture of their love and commitment for each other.
