At a speech in Baltimore yesterday, President Barack Obama spoke out against anti-gay activists who are working to overturn the freedom to marry in Maryland. He urged voters to uphold marriage for same-sex couples at the ballot this November.

Andrew, Eric, and Cornelia Dayton are pitching into Minnesotans United for All Families, a coalition of organizations dedicated to defeating an anti-gay marriage amendment at the ballot in November. The Daytons, the sons of Minnesota mayor Mark Dayton, are offering a $200,000 challenge grant for the coalition.

Today, anti-gay activists in Washington state submitted enough signatures to place the freedom to marry on the November 2012 ballot. The law will appear on the November ballot in the form of Referendum 74, which asks Washington residents to decide whether or not to uphold the freedom to marry in the state.
