This week, media conglomerate Viacom joined the ranks of Google, CBS, Zynga, Levi Strauss and others in filing court briefs opposing the so-called Defense of Marriage Act, while influential business leaders contribute record donations to the freedom to marry campaign. Amazon and Microsoft leaders have also contributed to the marriage campaign with hefty monetary donations.

Major pro-Republican hedge fund managers are donating funds to efforts aimed at preserving the freedom to marry in four ballot-states this November. A group of donors has collectively donated $1.5 million to Freedom to Marry's Win More States Fund, which directs funding to grassroots, on-the-ground efforts to fight for the freedom to marry at the ballot in Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington.
