Freedom to Marry staff just returned from Seattle, Washington where we met with key members of Equal Rights Washington and the Washington state legislature about potential plans to win marriage in 2012.

Freedom to Marry's Field Director Regina Clemente just got back from Minnesota, where she's working with the Minnesotans United for All Families coalition to defeat the anti-gay constitutional amendment on the November 2012 ballot.

Today, Maine’s Secretary of State approved the language for the citizen’s initiative asking Mainers to restore the freedom to marry in the state. Now that the language has been approved, EqualityMaine will begin collecting signatures to add that initiative to the ballot in 2012.
