Kyra Sedgwick, best known for her role on TNT's "The Closer" series for which she won an Emmy in August of 2010, will be among the stars hosting a special performance of Terrence McNally's "Some Men" on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, CA to benefit the Courage Campaign Institute's "Testimony" project.
The Testimony project is designed to bring the Prop 8 trial into the lives of Americans and empower them - gay and straight - to share their stories and change the way America thinks about LGBT rights.

Barbara Pierce Bush is the elder of the fraternal twin daughters (the other is Jenna Hager, née Bush) of the 43rd U.S. President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush, and the granddaughter of the 41st U.S. President George H. W. Bush.
On September 23, 2010, Ms. Bush attended a fundraiser for the pro-freedom to marry American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) in New York City at the Mandarin Oriental in the Time Warner Center. The fundraiser which raised more than $1.2 million to fight Prop 8 in the 9th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court was co-chaired by former Republican National Committee Chair/Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts partner Ken Mehlman, Paypal Co-Founder Peter Thiel and Elliott Management hedge fund CEO Paul Singe.

In reaction to the National Organization for Marriage using their recording of "This Land Is Your Land" on its so-called "Summer for Marriage Tour", the remaining members of Peter, Paul & Mary sent a letter of protest to NOM: "...the philosophy of the National Organization for Marriage is directly contrary to the advocacy position Peter, Paul & Mary have held for decades."
