Today, December 8, 2014, a Circuit judge in Broward County, FL ruled in favor of the freedom to marry, adding to the growing momentum calling for marriage once and for all in Florida.

Today, December 3, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals denied Florida's motion for a further stay in a ruling for the freedom to marry earlier this year, meaning that same-sex couples should be able to begin getting marriage licenses starting at the end of the day on January 5, 2015.

On October 30, Dan and Scott featured on a news segment celebrating their recent name-change and marriage in Florida. Days later, they received two letters from the DMV in the mail – one for each of them – threatening to cancel their licenses indefinitely on November 25th if they did not change their names back to their maiden names by then.
