Major pro-Republican hedge fund managers work to preserve the freedom to marry

Major pro-Republican hedge fund managers are donating funds to efforts aimed at preserving the freedom to marry in four ballot-states this November. A group of donors has collectively donated $1.5 million to Freedom to Marry's Win More States Fund, which directs funding to grassroots, on-the-ground efforts to fight for the freedom to marry at the ballot in Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington.
Washington United raises nearly $1 million to uphold the freedom to marry

During the month of June, Washington United for Marriage raised $952,267, the organization's highly monthly intake yet. Total contributions to Washington United now surpass $2 million. Ninety percent of contributors in June were Washington residents, and the majority of the donations - 79% of them - were small contributions of $100 or less.

At Twin Cities Pride on Sunday, Minnesotans United for All Families was on top of their game, blanketing the parade and making sure that supporters of the freedom to marry know they should vote "no" to the anti-gay constitutional amendment on the ballot this November.

Andrew, Eric, and Cornelia Dayton are pitching into Minnesotans United for All Families, a coalition of organizations dedicated to defeating an anti-gay marriage amendment at the ballot in November. The Daytons, the sons of Minnesota mayor Mark Dayton, are offering a $200,000 challenge grant for the coalition.
