The first high-profile fundraiser of the year for marriage equality provided the occasion Thursday for Freedom to Marry to step forward as the campaign to win marriage nationwide, with plans that include an expanded public education effort and a new presence in Washington, D.C.

Hudson Taylor, a straight All-American wrestler and coach at Columbia University, has launched the website AthleteAlly.com in an effort to combat homophobia in sports and ensure the locker room is a safe space for all.

The "Economist" debate between Freedom to Marry's Evan Wolfson and NOM's Maggie Gallagher concluded with almost two thirds of the online votes being 'yes' for marriage equality being legalized.

The couple sent out hundreds of letters to their neighbors asking them to take a moment during the holiday season to think and talk about an issue close to their hearts — marriage equality.
