Mainers United for Marriage outlined its case today for revising the draft language for the citizen's initiative that voters will decide on during the November election. The draft language released last week reads, "Do you want to allow same-sex couples to marry?"

Today Maine’s Secretary of State, Charlie Summers, confirmed that marriage advocates have collected enough signatures to allow a ballot measure this November that, if passed, would extend the freedom to marry to gay and lesbian couples.
