One of the speakers at our Young Conservatives launch event was Craig Stowell, who has spoken before about the intersections of his work as an advocate for the freedom to marry and his conservative ideology. Craig is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps, and he asserts that he doesn't support marriage for all couples in spite of his conservative values, but rather because of them.

Today, we published a video online featuring more information about Young Conservatives for the Freedom to Marry, our campaign to amplify the voices of young people who identify as conservatives and who support marriage for same-sex couples. The video features several members of the Young Conservatives leadership team.

Over the past few months, we've seen conservative voices become an essential part of the campaign to win marriage nationwide. Now, the four states facing ballot initiatives in the November 6, 2012 election - Washington, Maine, Minnesota, and Maryland - are capitalizing on that momentum by shoring up support among conservatives and encouraging them to make their voices heard.

In Washington, D.C. today, Freedom to Marry is launching 'Young Conservatives for the Freedom to Marry,' a new campaign to spotlight and increase support for conservatives in the United States who are speaking out on why marriage matters to same-sex couples and their families.
