CONTEST: Start a wedding registry and you could win with Shiraz Events!
June 13, 2014
This week, Freedom to Marry and Shiraz Events - the award-winning design, production, wedding planning and catering company - announced a new online partnership and promotion. The launch includes an exciting campaign in which anyone who creates a “Wedding Registry” page benefiting Freedom to Marry will be entered into a drawing to win free wedding planning services from Jason Mitchell Kahn, wedding planner at Shiraz Events and author of Getting Groomed: The Ultimate Wedding Planner for Gay Grooms.
To enter, create your wedding registry by clicking HERE, and then ask your wedding guests to give the gift of the freedom to marry.
Michael Crawford, Digital Director at Freedom to Marry, explained more about the Wedding Registry program:
Freedom to Marry’s Wedding Registry program is a simple yet significant way for supporters to do their part to win marriage for all committed couples across America. Through the Wedding Registry, couples can ask friends and family to make a donation to allow same-sex couples the freedom to marry, in lieu of purchasing a gift. We’re delighted to partner with Shiraz Events and are honored that they have donated their wedding services to the cause of winning marriage for all – so that all couples who wish to can celebrate their special wedding day.
The contest will run for the next two weeks - so make sure you enter before June 26. The lucky couple to win the wedding planning services from Jason Mitchell Kahn will be chosen at random and announced right here on our blog and on our Facebook page, here.
Jaosn Mitchell Kahn is excited to have the chance to make one couple's wedding extra special while working toward the freedom to marry nationwide. He said:
I’m lucky enough to be in a state where my marriage is legally recognized, and I am able to plan weddings for couples who will be recognized legally. It’s simply unacceptable that this isn’t the case nationwide and I know that, one day soon, Freedom to Marry will win marriage nationwide. It’s an honor to be even a small part of that effort.
