In this opinion piece, Cesar Chavez's granddaughter Christine urges the consideration of LGBT persons in the overarching struggle for immigration reform. Gay families join the White House Easter egg roll

Some 200 gay families are planning to attend the annual White House Easter Egg Roll next Monday to help the president understand that gay families exist in this country and deserve the rights and protections that all families need. [Link]

Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. has vetoed a bill that would prevent a court from awarding parental rights against the wishes of the biological or adoptive parent, in legislation stemmed from a case that made international headlines in 2004 when a judge awarded visitation rights to the former lesbian partner of the child's birth mother who claims to have turned straight after "getting religion".
