Fair Wisconsin, Freedom to Marry, GSA for Safe Schools, IMPACT, the International Socialist Organization of Madison, the LGBT Campus Center of UW-Madison, the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, OutReach, Pride Alliance of Madison Area Technical College, Proud Theater, Queer-Straight Alliance of the UW-Madison, 7 Rivers LGBT Resource Center of La Crosse, the Socialist Party of South Central Wisconsin and Wisconsin Capitol Pride have joined forces to organize a massive counter-event to the National Organization for Marriage’s (NOM) Madison rally on July 27, 2010. The counter event will begin at 11:00am on July 27, 2010 at Library Mall on the University of Wisconsin- Madison campus, where a number of speakers, including State Representative Mark Pocan of Madison, will begin the program. The counter-event will culminate in a march to the State Capitol.
