New Obama for America Co-Chairs Endorse Freedom to Marry Plank in 2012 National Democratic Platform


Today, Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO), California Attorney General Kamala Harris, Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), and Representative Charles Gonzalez (D-TX), all co-chairs of President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, have joined a growing number of elected officials and more than 28,000 voters who have endorsed a freedom to marry plank in the Democratic Party’s 2012 national platform.

NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman Endorses Freedom to Marry Plank in Dem Platform


In a letter today to the Democratic Party Platform Drafting Committee, New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today announced his support for a freedom to marry plank in the 2012 platform. Schneiderman becomes the first state Attorney General to support this effort, and will work with counterparts across the country to support the freedom to marry plank.
