Beginning on Sunday, a new national television advertisement released by Freedom to Marry will begin airing on Sunday morning network news shows in Washington, D.C. The 30-second spot declares "It's time" for the freedom to marry.

Today, Southerners for the Freedom to Marry – in partnership with our friends at Georgia Equality – announced Georgia Lawyers for the Freedom to Marry, a bipartisan list of more than 200 Georgia attorneys who are adding their names to the growing list of Georgians who support marriage for same-sex couples.

Today, Lambda Legal filed a federal lawsuit seeking the freedom to marry in Georgia and respect for marriages legally performed elsewhere. The lawsuit joins 64 other marriage lawsuits in 30 other states/territories.

Today, Freedom to Marry launched a new step forward in the campaign to amplify support for marriage among our nation's mayors and demonstrate support among elected officials in every state in the country, Light Up the Map.
