Freedom to Marry and Servicemembers Legal Defense Network have teamed up this week to launch a new, national persuasion campaign - Freedom to Serve, Freedom to Marry. The campaign will illustrate how the Defense of Marriage Act negatively impacts military families.

It's been one year since the Respect for Marriage Act, the bill that would overturn the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), was introduced in Congress and 365 days later, support for ending federal marriage discrimination is at an all-time high. Just this week Representatives Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR), Hansen Clarke (D-MI) and Steve Cohen (D-TN) became the latest members of Congress to sign on as cosponsors of the bill.

104 days ago, Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) said he would decide "very shortly" whether or not he would cosponsor the Respect for Marriage Act, the bill that would overturn DOMA. But 104 days later, he's still deciding. What's the hold up, Senator Reed?
