Everyone knows that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great ways for consumers to get a jump on their holiday gift shopping with great deals.

But what about a day to spend money on what truly matters? 

Today is Giving Tuesday, the antidote to the commercial Black Friday and Cyber Monday craziness.

This year has been such an amazing, momentous time for the marriage movement. We won marriage for the very first time at the ballot in Maine, Maryland, and Washington. We defeated an anti-gay amendment at the ballot for the very first time in Minnesota. President Obama became the first sitting president to publicly embrace marriage for same-sex couples, and the Democratic Party became the first major U.S. political party to officially include the freedom to marry in their national party platform.

We want to make the most of these huge achievements this yaer. But we need your help, because the work is far from over. Together, we know that we can show the world that we are on the right side of history.
