Colo. Senate gives initial OK to benefits for same-sex couples

A bill that would grant the partners of Colo. gay and lesbian state employees health benefits passed its first vote before the full state Senate yesterday. Sen. Jennifer Viega, who sponsored the bill, said, "It would move us toward the 21st century." [Link]
