Evan Wolfson writes, "Beyond 'just' gay people, beyond 'just' marriage, allowing a fundamental right to be taken away and any group of people to be targeted so easily threatens all of us, and violates our system of government. If rights can be eliminated, constitutional guarantees stripped away, and individuals targeted so easily, why have courts and constitutions in the first place?" [Link]
