NY Gov.: No gay exception on marriage

What Paterson did is declare that his administration would follow and enforce a law that already exists in the state and has for a long time. That law says that the state will honor marriages licensed in other states, even if those marriages wouldn't be licensed in New York. Legally, Paterson changed nothing. [Link]
