This month, 5-time Tony Award winning actress and singer Audra McDonald will release Go Back Home, her first solo studio album in seven years. The album, released on May 21, will feature Audra's soaring vocals to songs by a wide range of composers, including Guettel, LaChiusa, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Sondheim, and Kander & Ebb, plus an emerging generation of composers.
Until Monday, May 20, Freedom to Marry supporters have the opportunity to pre-order Go Back Home using the promo code FREEDOM. Audra McDonald has long been a supporter of the freedom to marry for same-sex couples, speaking out about why marriage matters and why she wants to see a world where all people are equal.
She was an active supporter of marriage during the campaigns to win marriage in New York in 2009 and 2011, and last year, she partnered with Freedom to Marry to release a video championing President Barack Obama's historic support as the first sitting president of the United States to support the freedom to marry.
