"On July 24, 2010, people from around the world are invited to document the world through their eyes. Twenty will be selected for inclusion in the film entitled "Life in a Day" helmed by Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald. All submissions will be shared online through the film's official YouTube channel.

"It is critical that we all take advantage of those opportunities to make our voices heard. The advent of Web 2.0 technologies has made this imperative ridiculously easy, however, it is not every day when your voice can be part of a piece of art from an acclaimed creative team including the likes of Oscar-winning director Ridley Scott.

"Now is your opportunity to be part of the narrative of what it is to be alive on July 24, 2010. It is crucial to have diverse perspectives represented, and more specifically, for all those who are supporters of marriage equality. This is a chance to make a difference like none other.

"You have the rest of this week to think on what it is that captures your imagination in support of this goal. So whether it's a quiet moment with your special someone or capturing the energy of a rally to win marriage equality or your child saying "I love you" with a face besmeared with chocolate cake - whatever it is that expresses the love and commitment in your family - bring it!

"Let your submission come entirely from you and you will be sure to have a chance to become part of something truly great and something to which you can point with pride whether it makes it into the final cut or not. Either way, you will be heard!

"Need more incentive? Check out the trailer. This film is going to be a very cool and unique work."
