Take the Pledge: “I Won’t Give Up On Love”

This was a monumental week for the freedom to marry. The United States Supreme Court ruled on the Right Side of History by declaring Section 3 of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional and by dismissing the legal challenge to Proposition 8, which effectively restored the freedom to marry in California.

But all of this week's success doesn't mean that the campaign to win marriage nationwide is over. We've accomplished a lot - seeing President Obama become the first sitting president to support marriage, winning at the ballot four times on Election Day, winning 13 states, and taking the first steps toward overturning federal marriage discrimination. But there's still more to do.

Take our pledge to affirm your commitment to finishing the job - commitment to ending the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage in the other 37 states, passing the Respect for Marriage Act to fully overturn DOMA, and continuing to increase public support for the freedom to marry.

Add your voice today and say: "I WON'T GIVE UP ON LOVE."
