Video: Alaska’s Joe Miller would vote for marriage equality ban

"Republican Senate nominee Joe Miller of Alaska said Tuesday he would vote for a constitutional amendment banning the freedom to marry.
"'That's up to the people,' Miller ultimately said of a constitutional amendment in an interview with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Tuesday night. 'If you get a three-quarters vote ratifying — I'd vote for it. I would.'"Previously in the interview — which occurred with Maddow and Miller walking in and out of a building and down escalators before the Republican hopped in the front seat of an SUV mid-questioning — Miller repeatedly touted states' rights, which seemed to create a contradiction between his hands-off beliefs on federal government and potential support for a constitutional marriage equality ban.
"'There are different approaches to different values,' Miller said. 'It's really a state issue. It should be handled at the state level.'
"He added that beliefs held in Alaska vary from those held in other states and acknowledged a growing 'diversity' in America." See video below:
