"Mark Reed and Dante Walkup tied the knot last month in Dallas because they found a loophole that makes it OK.

"While their boots were planted at the W Hotel in Dallas, an officiate in the District of Columbia legalized their union through Skype.

"Though the marriage may be binding in D.C. and a handful of other states, it still won't be recognized in the state of Texas.

"'That was a very heartfelt and moving wedding, but in Texas it's illegal which in many ways is a real injustice," said gay rights attorney, Rob Wiley.

"'When people see you've taken that extra time and effort and everything like that, it's a little closer to committment and promises than being legal," says Walkup.  [see video below]:
