Gillian Anderson is an Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG winning actress, best known for her roles as FBI Special Agent Dana Scully in the American TV series, The X-Files, Moro in the English dub of Princess Mononoke, Lily Bart in The House of Mirth, and Lady Dedlock in the BBC TV series Bleak House. Her film work includes two X-Files features, along with The Last King of Scotland and Straightheads. She has also served as host of PBS' Masterpiece Theatre during its Jane Austen series.Gillian is a proud signer of Freedom to Marry's Marriage Resolution which reads:
Because marriage is a basic human right and an individual choice,RESOLVED, the State should not interfere with same-gender couples whochoose to marry and share fully and equally in the rights, responsibilities, and commitment of civil marriage.
