At the end of the month - on October 30 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City - an all-star lineup of musicians will join together, playing on the same stage in support of the freedom to marry for same-sex couples. The Freedom to Love Now! Nearly a dozen musical acts will take the stage on October 30, including "We Are Young" radio darlings fun., singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright, The National, They Might Be Giants, Thomas Bartlett (aka Doveman), Toshi Reagon, Beth Orton, Mx Justin Vivian Bond, Cibo Matto, Sam Amidon, and Reggie Watts.
 
These groups have been actively committed to the marriage movement, especially in recent months. fun. recently launched The Ally Coalition, an organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of non-gay people who support ending discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans people. Rufus Wainwright married his longtime partner just a few months ago, and now he's lending his talents to bring us closer to the day when all loving and committed same-sex couples can marry. MX Justin Vivian Bond, Beth Orton, Toshi Reagon and others have been long-time advocates for the LGBT community.
