Sean Eldridge

Sean Eldridge joined the Freedom to Marry team after the New York State Senate voted down marriage equality legislation in December of 2009. He served as Communications Director in 2010 and Political Director in 2011. Eldridge remains active in the LGBT equality movement in the United States and abroad and currently serves on the board of directors of OutRight Action International.  

In 2012, Eldridge was a founding member of New York Leadership for Accountable Government (NY LEAD), a bipartisan group of business and civic leaders advocating for campaign finance reform. Eldridge continues to support efforts to reduce the influence of money in politics in the United States. In 2014, Eldridge was the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in New York's 19th Congressional District.
