Arkansas

Arkansas voters, unfortunately armed with little public education about the inequalities faced by same-sex couples, passed an anti-relationship recognition amendment in 2004. Now, the state is being threatened with an anti-adoption and foster care constitutional amendment which could appear on the 2008 ballot.  State advocacy groups continue to work against such discriminatory amendments.
